how generation affects people on the job – exploring factors influencing the four generations active in today’s workforce – discussion of common motivators and work styles

Understanding Gender Differences
( all audiences – 1.5 hours )

the two culture of men and women – cross-cultural communication – typical but not universal patterns – overcoming barriers to understanding

Conflict Management – Choose your Best Strategy
( versions for supervisors or employees – 3 hours )

the conflict cycle – defining the problem – differences of need call for Outer Skills (listen and accept feedback, offer feedback and make requests; work together to find a solution) – use Inner Skills for differences in people (increase understanding; expand acceptance; learn to let go)

Handle Inevitable People Challenges
( for sueprvisors and managers – 3 hours )

identify recurring problems with your work group – anticipate the Conflict Cycle – remember the three sides to any conflict – classify the problem: Roles/Methods, Needs/Wants, Views/Values – choose the appropriate approach to handle the challenge
